He ran his thumb along her lower lip. “This mouth was mine first. It never belonged to anyone else.” Her breath caught. Blood pounded between her ears as she remembered her first kiss. With him. It’d been okay, not earth-shattering, but also not nauseating. “You want me.” His finger trekked down her neck over her pounding pulse. “No, I don’t.” “Your body says you do. Your breaths are hitched. You’re practically screaming for me to take you, and I’ve barely touched you. How’s this possible?” “It’s…” She couldn’t say it. Eli despised having them do magic on him, whether it be a spell, a potion, or even read cards about him. He pushed her away, muttering, “Magic.” Disgust twisted his lips. “What is it? A potion, an aromatic scent or… Oh, hell no. Tell me it’s not a spell.”

About The Author

Award winning author Zoe Forward is a hopeless romantic who can’t decide between paranormal and contemporary romance. So, she writes both. Her novels have won numerous awards including the Prism, Readers' Choice Heart of Excellence, Golden Quill, Carolyn Readers Choice Award, and the Booksellers' Best Award.
When she’s not typing at her laptop, she’s cheering her son on at baseball, chasing the toddler or cleaning up the newest pet mess from the menagerie that occupies her house. She’s a small animal veterinarian caring for a wide range of furry creatures, although there has been the occasional hermit crab.
She’s madly in love with her globe trotting conservation ecologist husband who plans to save all the big cats on the planet, and she's happiest when he returns to their home base.

Review

This is my first book from Zoe and first book I've read in this series. I didn't feel like I missed too much not reading the previous books. It was a good story packed in a pretty package of only 140 pages but it was an entertaining ride. I was impressed that so much happened in this book and it didn't feel rushed. I loved that even though the story felt short it didn't feel like it left anything out. The characters had history and I always love a story with soulmates.

Eli had vowed to never be romantically involved with Avery as he thought he was destined to be with another. Avery felt such heartbreak also knowing that he could never be hers. I'm just amazed as to how much happened in this novella. A  love spell, heartbreak, ghosts, soulmates. As the main characters fight their feelings for years a love spell seems to unravel their old feelings and the story takes on from there. An enjoyable paranormal romance.

Book Review-The Pregnancy Project

THE PREGNANCY PROJECT By Gaby Rodriguez 218 Pages January 2012 Simon and Schuster Summary Taken from Goodreads: Growing up, Gaby Rodriguez was often told she would end up a teen mom. After all, her mother and her older sisters had gotten pregnant as teenagers; from an outsider’s perspective, it was practically a family tradition. Gaby had ambitions that didn’t include teen motherhood. But she wondered: how would she be treated if she “lived down” to others' expectations? Would everyone ignore the years she put into being a good student and see her as just another pregnant teen statistic with no future? These questions sparked Gaby’s school project: faking her own pregnancy as a high school senior to see how her family, friends, and community would react. What she learned changed her life forever, and made international headlines in the process. My Thoughts: I remember when this was all over the media a couple of years ago. HIGH SCHOOL GIRL FAKES PREGNANCY! It was a hot news topic a...
