When seventeen-year-old Evie Dasher is caught up in a raid at a notorious club known as one of the few places where humans and the surviving Luxen can mingle freely, she meets Luc, an unnaturally beautiful guy she initially assumes is a Luxen...but he is in fact something much more powerful. Her growing attraction for Luc will lead her deeper and deeper into a world she'd only heard about, a world where everything she thought she knew will be turned on its head...

#1 New York Times, USA Today, and internationally bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout returns to the universe of the Lux in this brand new series, featuring beloved characters both new and old.

If you’re a fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux series, you NEED TO READ this book! It’s a brand new story that I completely fell in love with. It has all the elements you’d except from an Origin/Lux story, complete with appearances from a few favorite nonhuman characters in this story. If you’re a fan of Kat & Daemon, just wait till you meet Evie & Luc!

Like the books in the Lux series, The Darkest Stars has all the things you'd except from a Jennifer L. Armentrout book; fierce characters, character chemistry that ignites the pages, snarky comments that make you laugh out loud, tough characters who don't back down from fighting for what they love, and plenty of unexpected twists. This story was totally worth the wait!

I absolutely loved being in the Lux world again. I like that while this is the first book in a brand new series set in the Lux world, some of my favorite Lux characters are apart of this story. If they're not present in the story, they're at least mentioned. There is also a whole new group of characters that readers get to know. Like the previously Lux series books, these characters are easy to fall in love with.

Evie is a character I loved from the get go. I feel that if she and Kat were to ever meet, they'd become fast friends. It's no surprise that Evie is one tough character who can definitely handle the unexpected, and hold her own when it comes to danger. She has a lot to offer, and her ties to the Lux series are a twist I didn't even see coming!

Daemon may have been Jennifer's first out of this world character I fell in love with, but Luc will definitely be the last. Luc is something entirely on his own. He's just as you'd except him to be. He's infuriating, hard to not fall for, demanding, and boy does he know how to keep you wanting more.

From their first meeting to all that transpires between, Evie and Luc are two characters that had me rooting for them the entire time. I absolutely love watching these two fall in love, while at the say time infuriate each other. Their history is one that tugs at your heart strings, and breaks your heart all at the same time. These two definitely know how to push each other's buttons, and heat things up in no time.

If you've been waiting for some answers from the Lux series, don't worry, you'll get them! Trust me, they are not at all what you'll except them to be. I loved the shocking twists and how this story ties into the rest of the Lux series. Whether you're a long time fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout's, or new to her books, I highly recommend picking up this book when it's out on Tuesday! While you can read this book by itself, I would also recommend reading the Lux series.

Book Review-The Pregnancy Project

THE PREGNANCY PROJECT By Gaby Rodriguez 218 Pages January 2012 Simon and Schuster Summary Taken from Goodreads: Growing up, Gaby Rodriguez was often told she would end up a teen mom. After all, her mother and her older sisters had gotten pregnant as teenagers; from an outsider’s perspective, it was practically a family tradition. Gaby had ambitions that didn’t include teen motherhood. But she wondered: how would she be treated if she “lived down” to others' expectations? Would everyone ignore the years she put into being a good student and see her as just another pregnant teen statistic with no future? These questions sparked Gaby’s school project: faking her own pregnancy as a high school senior to see how her family, friends, and community would react. What she learned changed her life forever, and made international headlines in the process. My Thoughts: I remember when this was all over the media a couple of years ago. HIGH SCHOOL GIRL FAKES PREGNANCY! It was a hot news topic a...
